SOUQ Design evolved as a natural extension of SOUQ Store – a high-end lifestyle emporium and café in Bali, Indonesia, that is as much a sensory experience as it is a retail space.
Opened in 2014, SOUQ Store brims with beautifully-curated pieces from clothing and jewellery to objets and furniture, representing unique international brands and SOUQ’s own designs. Occupying a large space in Seminyak with raw concrete floors, cement rendered walls and oxidised brass accents, the retail store and cafe was the first interior design project of SOUQ Design. In the years since then, SOUQ has become synonymous with a refined aesthetic and commitment to originality and integrity in design.
Having pioneered a high-end retail experience in Bali, SOUQ was asked to work on local residential projects, conceiving interior design concepts and creating furniture, artwork and homewares for these spaces. SOUQ’s original furniture attracted the attention of international developers and brand creators which has given rise to our specialty of custom-designing and making furniture and homewares for bars, restaurants, hotels and villas across the world.
