Lindy and Adam have lived in Bali for many years but their villa in Pererenan is the first home they have created together. Whilst Lindy has an eye for colour and style and Adam is a builder and developer by background, they wanted help to select unique finishes and pieces throughout their villa. They were firm in knowing that they didn’t want a home that reflected the ubiquitous ‘island-style’ that is seen everywhere across Bali and the tropics with a suffusion of rattan, natural timber and muted tones of off-white and beige. They wanted a home that is both reflective of their sophisticated aesthetic and useable as a space for four children running in and out from the beach. SOUQ chose soft and textural finishes for the floors and walls including recycled teak parquetry, pink marble tiles for the little girls’ bathrooms and our beloved grey cement render for the walls, along with creating original pieces such as the majestic black-stained dining table, sculptural organic metal mesh lights and brass etched coffee table.
