In a grand old building in the heart of Bali’s most sophisticated retail and restaurant district, SOUQ Design’s first project was their own: the creation of our concept store, SOUQ. Named after the vibrant marketplaces along the silk route from the Horn of Africa to the Orient where everything was traded from gold and silk to coffee and saffron, SOUQ intended to honour that romantic concept; a place where you could come and find beautiful wares and enjoy a home-baked delight under the same roof.

In a single space, SOUQ is home to our organic café and an emporium of homewares, furniture, fashion and jewellery, seamlessly joining all elements without walls or divisions. An interior design and merchandising challenge, it was the first of its kind in Bali and remains an oasis of refinement and style amongst the bustle.

SOUQ Design designed and managed the interior architecture renovation, the interior design and fitout and the design and construction of all displays and fixtures in the space.
